Position Description
We are looking to hire an experienced Account Manager to focus primarily on institutional investor relationships based in the Canadian Province of Quebec. In this role, you will be responsible for a diverse range of activities, including acquiring new clients for PIMCO, monitoring client portfolios and effectively communicating investment strategies. You will provide insights on performance attribution, market performance and macroeconomic conditions, while also outlining the firm's outlook and strategic direction. Additionally, you will develop tailored investment objectives for clients and educate them on a comprehensive array of investment strategies, products, and services.
As an Account Manager, you will join a team responsible for both accelerating the growth of our institutional client base and strengthening client relationships with institutional investors in Canada.
This role requires regular travel.

Responsibilities
As an Account Manager on our Canadian institutional team, you will be responsible for executing investor-specific growth plans. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Driving sales across the full spectrum of PIMCO investment solutions (Alts, Mutual Funds, ETFs, SMAs) by developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships with new and existing advisors; influence their choices through a consultative sales process.
• Maintaining an active presence with key decision makers in our target market, conducting client events, and delivering group presentations, including continuing education and training sessions.
• Building relationships with senior individuals within client organizations to identify opportunities across PIMCO's suite of investment solutions.
• Managing firm resources, such as partnering with PIMCO product and portfolio managers, to generate new revenue sources and expand existing business relationships.
• Contributing to the broader team and firm by sharing client and sales insights, as well as best practices.
• Maintaining in-depth knowledge of PIMCO's products, platforms, themes, initiatives, markets, strategies, and policies as well as those of its clients.
• Ensuring the highest level of compliance with all industry regulations and PIMCO policies.
• Executing with precision on the PIMCO Canada business plan.

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the institutional investment industry (e.g., asset manager, asset owner and/or investment consultancy).
• Existing institutional client relationships based in Quebec are preferred.
• Fluency in both French and English (verbal and written) is required.
• Experience in business development, client relationship management, or investment consulting experience is preferred.
• Outstanding analytical and mathematical abilities with the ability to integrate quantitative and qualitative insights.
• Strong investment acumen, along with a deep knowledge of and passion for financial markets, fixed income, and investing.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
• Personable and track record of developing client relationships into strategic partnerships.
• Ethical, collaborative, organized, flexible, self-motivated, accountable, and humble.
